Kayla received her Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. She continued her OT training in Minnesota at an outpatient clinic, practicing sensory integration with the pediatric population.  Kayla then focused specifically on mental health with adults, adolescents, and pediatrics, working in a variety of settings, including an eating disorder clinic, a forensic unit, and an assisted living apartment for people with serious and persistent mental illnesses.  With unique occupational therapy experience, Kayla is excited for the opportunity to assist families in meeting their goals.  Kayla finds it important to focus on each client’s individual strengths, and help them use these strengths to build confidence and motivation in order to overcome challenges.  Kayla’s favorite part of being an OT is connecting with clients and their families and building strong therapeutic relationships.

When Kayla is not working, she is enjoying time outside with her family.  She especially enjoys hiking, cooking, yoga, volleyball, and playing fetch with her dog, Leo.
