Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy can support:

  • Sensory processing and regulation

  • Coordination and motor skills development

  • Oral motor skills and expansion of diet

  • Self-care and hygiene skills

  • Fine motor and handwriting skills

  • Community safety and play skill development

  • Ocular motor skills (important to support academic learning)

  • Environmental consultations for home and school settings

  • Interactive Metronome®

  • Behavioral regulation

  • Post-Adoptive skill development

Occupational therapy for children focuses on building the skills necessary to play, engage effectively at home and school, and care for themselves.

At Children’s Therapy Network we work closely with the child and their families to build these specific skills. We place a strong emphasis on parent education so that parents can continue to support their child’s success long after end of therapy. Our therapists have extensive training in parenting and relationship strategies that we weave into treatment. After in-depth sessions in our session rooms or at home, children flourish and parents and caregivers become strong advocates for their children.
