CTN News – January 2012
Happy New Year! I hope that your holiday was filled with fun, family and cherished memories.
I am busily anticipating the pending move to our new space. If you were to peek downstairs you would see walls being put up, drywall going in this week, electrical and plumbing being finished, as well lots of “checking it twice” to make sure our new space is just right! I want to thank you all for your patience with the noise level of the build out over the last couple weeks. I have been working with the contractor to ensure that no more noise affects client sessions. There is one more item to be placed in the ceiling and during this time we will either cancel/reschedule sessions or come to your home. I anticipate this will be over the next week or two- and we will talk to each family who might be affected ahead of time.
On the topic of the move, we are slated to move on February 3rd,4th, 5th . This should be “in stone” assuming no major hiccups with the build out. If you are able to come and help anytime it would be so appreciated! This probably would not be a good time for kids to be here as there will be a lot of shuffle going and I anticipate a little unnerving to see all of their favorite toys being moved. If you are able to help, for a couple hours or even an hour, please let me know via e-mail and I’ll add you to the communications about this. Tasks will be moving all of the stuff down the stairs, picture hanging, painting some magnet and chalk boards, etc. My hope is that we are all moved and ready to see clients in the new space on February 6th.
*Before the move, and just to have a little fun, the CTN Parent Association is hosting a Badger Gymnastics Play Day on Saturday, January 14th from 4-5:30. They have reserved the space just for CTN clients, so your kids should have lots of room to play and parents will have time to connect with others. Parents stay for this event and sibling are very welcome as well. The cost is $7 per child payable to Badger Gymnastics. Please sign up with Jeannie so we know how many are coming!
* Staff updates include: Jessica Andrae, the student who was with us for the fall with be joining us as a full time therapist at the end of January! Gretchen will be back from maternity leave at the end of February. Jenni and Sarah will be leaving on maternity leave in March. We will be checking in with each family that is affected by a leave and find a great match of therapist for the time they are away! Also, Heidi, our awesome PT, will have increased availability. If you are interested in PT services, please let us know!
* On a scheduling note, we will be open on Monday January 16th for Martin Luther King day. I know that many schools have off that day, but we will be open!
Stay warm,
Jen
